As a Controller at Blackstream, Adam is responsible for the financial management of the company's residential, commercial and property management divisions. Adam is a seasoned accounting professional with 18 years of experience in various industries, eight of those years in real estate. During those eight years, Adam worked for two real estate start-ups, Invitation Homes and Goal Property Services where he assisted in the build out of the accounting departments to keep up with the rapid growth of institutional investments. 

With his experience in start-ups, Adam manifests the ability to observe and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies which includes developing and managing teams, implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and strengthen customer and vendor relationships. Over the years, Adam has also demonstrated his ability to effectively manage all aspects of a company's financial operations. This includes ledger management, AP/AR, fixed assets and audit prep. 

Adam was born in Summerville, South Carolina and his family relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina in the late 1980s where he finished high school. Adam graduated from UNC-Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in business and subsequently obtained his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. In his spare time, if not with his wife and three children, Adam enjoys various hobbies. These include rehabbing properties, working on cars, mountain biking and sometimes, just relaxing around the house.
